Written by Antipolo STAR on . Posted in Breaking News, Business

The opening of SM Cherry Antipolo last Friday, June 30, 2017 is a blessing said St. John Mary Vianney Parish Priest Father Loddy Garcia whose church is just across the highway from the mall.

“Maraming sorpresa sa buhay. Isang sorpresa magkaroon ng mall na malapit sa simbahan. Kaya ngayon napakalapit. Today with the grand opening of SM Cherry Antipolo malapit na ang mga kainan katulad ng Gilligan’s, Jollibee at Kuya J. Mabait ang Diyos. Sama sama nating enjoy the blessings that God is giving us,” said Father Garcia in his homily during the mass celebrated at the opening of the mall.

“Pag nagpunta ka dito (SM Cherry Antipolo) presko. Kahit mag window shopping ka at hindi bumili. It gives you a chance to refresh your mind and refresh your soul. I will tell our parishioners to patronize SM Cherry Antipolo.”

SM Cherry Antipolo is the 63rd SM Supermall and the fifth in the province of Rizal after SM City Taytay, SM City Masinag, SM Center Angono and SM City San Mateo.

The complex is located at 145 Marikina-Infanta Highway in Antipolo. It is the third SM Cherry mall after SM Cherry Shaw and SM Cherry Congressional and gives people in its neighborhood an enhanced shopping environment as it offers expanded services beyond the traditional grocery experience with three levels of retail, including an SM Supermarket, shops, and restaurants.

Among these shops are Watsons, Ace Hardware and Miniso, as well as the Penshoppe group and Bench. Dining options include Kuya J and Dunkin Donuts, as well as Jollibee, Giligan’s, Honeybear, and Dairy Queen.

“We thank the Lord for this wonderful building. Noong isara ang Cherry nakakalungkot. Malayo na sa aming parish ang affordable grocery. Kaya we’re thankful na nagbukas muli as SM Cherry Antipolo,” said Father Garcia.

“Kapag biglang dumating ang blessings, it is always a surprise. With this mass let us thank the blessings of the Lord. Let us use these blessings for the betterment of our lives. For the betterment of our country.”
