Thirty nine of the most beautiful women in Rizal Province and CALABARZON region converged at the Event Hall of SM City Masinag Saturday, July 1 to join the 2017 Miss Philippines Regional Screening.
Candidates from Antipolo include Justine Bianca P. Alvaran (28), Princess Maeiene M. Aquino, Samantha Mel C. Arcilla, Shairmaine Keith Asano, Erika Ann R. Dela Cruz, Kaye Cee V. Custodio, Joy Ann Dequito (9), Judy Ann I. Dioneda (3), Danica Divina, Ella A. Elejorde, Ella Grace Flores (7), Pamela M. Flores (36), Sophia Ann D. Gile and Sophia M. Gutierrez (10).
Other candidates from Antipolo are: Henjel Polyn Mae Hernandez, Joiesan F. Largo (26), Maxine Mailinas (2), Eliza G. Manuel, Angelica Moana, Marianne T. Morcilla (39), Rea Mae Nuuda, Marie Joyce Padacas, Donna B. Pamilacan (5), Princess Lyn V. Rivera (17), Guenevere DR Santos (25), Maria Pauline A. Serrano (8), Hanielyn L. Seron (15), Ann Vincent M. Siazon, Jocelyn M. Singson, Jayalea T. Tumaliuan (38), Allijah Valbuena and Erica Vasquez (29).
Candidates also include, from: Angono, Trisha Mae Macopia (1); Baras, Princess Leah P. Biaes (37); Binangonan, Cescolleen Dalway and Aira Jean (8); Pasig, Marianne T. Moralla; Taytay, Mercy Bulan (4); and Teresa Christine Glory T. Sisno and Rea Erica G. Peria.
Eighteen lovely candidates made it to National Screening to be held July 8. The qualifiers of Miss Philippines Regional Screening include candidates with numbers: 11, 15, 16, 17, 19, 22, 26, 27, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38 and 39.
The candidates were judged based on their beauty, poise and intelligence with the judges asking probing questions.
The judges were Francisco “Direk Gareth” Blanco Jr., Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Miss Philippines Foundation Inc., Rexner F. Rubio Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Miss Philippines Foundation Inc. and Jeffrey O. Loanzon President CEO of Inryo Corporation.
Miss Philippines was created in response to the government’s call to promote tourism, culture and the arts among Filipinos and the whole country. Miss Philippines Foundation (MP) will stage the national pageant dubbed The First Miss Philippines MP 2017 with a nationwide search which will culminate in a grand coronation night at the PICC where 50 entries representing municipalities and cities from around the country compete for the title.
The contest also seeks to promote global culture and traditions. In effect it will also promote the country’s culture and various tourist destinations.
Five titles will be at stake during the grand finals. These are Miss Tourism Universe Philippines, Miss Tourism Queen International Philippines, Miss Cosmopolitan World Philippines, Face of Beauty International Philippines and Princess of the World Philippines.
